Silencio - Record Sound & Earn Crypto

About Silencio

Silencio is a DePIN project with a free crypto-rewarding app that lets anyone with a smartphone earn rewards by recording sound outdoors to create a world noise-pollution map, helping companies like real estate agencies, hotels, restaurants, and city planners optimize their products and services.

Silencio App

How to Start with Silencio

  1. Download the Silencio app from the App Store or Play Store.
  2. When creating an account, use the code “nordic” to get 200 points right away.
  3. Start recording and collecting points using the “Street Measurement” while walking outside, or use the “Check-In” feature to measure noise inside stores and shops.
  4. Each month, there’s a raffle rewarding users based on the previous month’s points.

Street Measurement

The app divides the world into hexagons (43 square meters or smaller 7-square-meter ones), and you collect sound data for each hexagon you cover. Green hexagons mean low noise levels, yellow means medium, and red means high. Uncolored hexagons are undiscovered—recording there earns you more!

Check-In Feature

The Check-In feature lets you measure noise inside stores, shops, and venues. It’s a great way to earn extra points, especially if no one has checked into that spot before. Just click the “Check-In” option, record the sound, and contribute to the noise pollution map while boosting your earnings.

Silencio Raffle Tickets to Increase Earnings

The more you use the Silencio app and record sound, the more raffle tickets you gather for each month’s raffle. These raffles reward users with SLC tokens and other prizes. Record in more hexagons, discover unrecorded ones, and use the Check-In feature to climb the ranks and earn more tickets. There are also achievements in the app to boost your points further—check them out as you go!

Tips to Avoid Invalid Recordings

To maximize earnings and avoid invalid recordings, record sound the right way. Keep your phone out in the open—don’t hide it in your jacket or pocket. Don’t talk, have a conversation, or make a lot of noise while recording—let the natural sound of the area come through, like traffic or crowds. Only record outdoors for Street Measurement, not indoors (use Check-In for that). Don’t record while driving in a car, train, or bus—you have to be walking outside. The sound quality matters, so avoid interrupting the audio yourself.

What’s Next for Silencio?

Silencio has completed its beta airdrop of SLC tokens, rewarding early users. Now, the focus is on monthly raffles where you earn tickets by recording more sound and covering more hexes. The company is also adding new gamification features in the coming months to make earning more fun. Plus, there’s a chance to earn Peaq tokens in Peaq’s Get Real campaign.
