Acurast Hub: Mine Tokens with Your Phone - Decentralized Computing Network
Welcome to the Acurast Hub, your go-to resource for everything about Acurast. Acurast is a decentralized compute network where anyone can earn ACU tokens by sharing their phone's computing power for real-world tasks including AI, DeFi, and automation. With over 279,000 phones across 175+ countries and nearly 920 million on-chain transactions, Acurast is one of the largest mobile DePIN networks in the world. Mainnet launched in January 2026 and the network is fully live. Setup is free and takes about 2 minutes.
Below is an overview of how Acurast works, from the basics to how to start, all linked to in-depth guides for more detail.
Getting Started with Acurast
Start in 1-2 minutes with the free Acurast Lite Processor app, available on Google Play or Apple App Store. For higher rewards, use a dedicated Android phone with Processor Core. Join the Acurast Cloud Rebellion program and use referral code mg3gif to earn MIST points while sharing compute. See our tutorial for how to set up Acurast on a smartphone.
About Acurast
Acurast is a decentralized computing network that lets anyone earn ACU tokens by sharing their phone's compute power with developers building real applications. With over 279,000 phones across 175+ countries, it is one of the fastest-growing DePIN projects, now processing nearly 920 million on-chain transactions and over 600,000 deployments. Learn more in our guide to the Acurast DePIN project.

Why It Matters
Acurast turns idle phones into compute nodes on a global decentralized network. Unlike DePIN projects that require expensive specialized hardware, almost any Android or iPhone can participate for free. The network has raised $11M including Polkadot grants and has an official partnership with Cellhasher for phone farm hardware. The June 2026 Cargo update was the network's biggest milestone since mainnet: it enables Linux containers and SSH access on network phones, opening the door to real developer workloads beyond basic scripts. How to Earn with Acurast
Run the Acurast Processor Lite app or Processor Core on eligible phones to earn ACU tokens every epoch (approximately every 90 minutes). Earnings depend on your phone's hardware. Flagship phones (Samsung S24 Plus, OnePlus 9 Pro) earn around $3 to $4 per month per phone. Premium phones (Samsung S21/S22, Pixel 8) earn around $2 to $2.50. Mid-range phones earn around $1 to $1.40. Budget phones earn around $0.20 to $0.50. For the full breakdown, see our Acurast earnings guide.
Acurast's Compute Score: Why It Varies and What It Means for Rewards
Each phone on the network gets a compute score reflecting its overall performance, with RAM being the largest factor at around 46% of the score, followed by CPU at another 46%. This score determines your share of the ACU reward pool distributed every epoch. Phones with more RAM and faster CPUs earn significantly more. Even budget phones with lower scores participate and earn, just at a smaller share. For reference, a phone with 8 to 12 gigabytes of RAM will earn several times more than one with 2 to 4 gigabytes.
Acurast Team
Co-founders Pascal Brun and Alessandro De Carli lead Acurast, with De Carli serving as President of the Acurast Association. Key contributors include Mike Godenzi as CTO and Andreas Gassmann as a software engineer. Backed by $11M in funding, including Polkadot grants, this Zurich-based team is building Acurast as a decentralized alternative to centralized cloud infrastructure.
Why Provide Compute Using a Phone?
Smartphones are trusted devices with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) that make each phone a verifiable, secure compute unit. Acurast uses this to process confidential tasks like AI inference and privacy-sensitive operations in a way that even the phone's owner cannot inspect. With over 279,000 phones already in the network across 175+ countries, the compute scale is significant. Check the list of phone models known to work with Acurast to see if yours qualifies.
Acurast Tokenomics
Acurast's tokenomics are community-first, with 70% of its 1 billion ACU token supply allocated to miners and users. ACU is live and tradeable since January 2026. It is used for network fees, staking, governance, and settlement, with a 30% burn on settlement transactions. Staked Compute lets providers commit hardware and ACU tokens together for access to a reward pool seven times larger than the standard compute pool. Dive into the full breakdown in our Acurast tokenomics analysis.
