Helium Mobile Hotspot
About Helium Mobile Hotspot
The Helium Mobile hotspot provides Wi-Fi coverage for their cellular phone plan network and supports data offloading for traditional telecom companies, saving resources. Users earn HNT token rewards when the hotspot is utilized.
How Many Hotspots for a Hex | Hex Ranking | Indoor vs Outdoor Helium Mobile Hotspot
Helium Mobile offers two hotspot types: indoor and outdoor. The indoor hotspot suits places like hotels or restaurants with high internet use. The outdoor hotspot excels in parks or social areas with large gatherings. Currently, Helium Mobile operates only in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Mexico, so hotspots are functional only in those regions.
Helium Mobile Hotspot Rewards
Hotspot users receive two reward types: Proof of Coverage (POC) rewards, given daily to online hotspots, and data activity rewards, where higher data usage earns more tokens. The Helium network uses a hex system to fairly distribute rewards. More hexes covered by your hotspot increase its coverage points, boosting token rewards.
For indoor hotspots, only one per hex earns the daily POC reward, though multiple can still earn from data usage. For outdoor hotspots, up to three per hex can earn coverage points; if overlapped, they’re ranked by performance to determine point distribution. Check local hotspot density before deploying to ensure optimal earnings.
