How to Start Mining Acurast

1. Get the Acurast Processor Light App or factory reset a phone for Processor Core.
2. Connect the phone to an Acurast account on their Hub using a Metamask wallet.

Acurast Processor Lite

The Acurast Processor Lite is the fastest way to start mining Acurast by simply downloading the free app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. This app can run in the background on Android phones but must run in the foreground on iPhones.

Acurast Processor Core

The Acurast Processor Core is a dedicated phone setup that mines Acurast and gives higher token rewards. The Processor Core setup is done through the Acurast Hub, where both the Light Processor app phones and Core Processor mining phones connect to the same account. A phone used for Processor Core can’t be used for calls, texting, or anything except mining Acurast, as it needs to be factory reset before installing the Processor Core via a QR code scan. It only requires a Wi-Fi connection and no SIM card.

Connect Phone to Acurast Hub

After installing the Acurast Processor Light app or Processor Core, connect the phone to an account on the Acurast Hub page using the free Metamask wallet. Having an account allows you to add several phones to the same wallet, collecting all tokens together. In the Hub, go to "Fund account" to get free testnet tokens, then to "Add device," confirm the Metamask popup, and scan the resulting QR code with the phone (via the Light Processor app or Core phone). Open the app/Core phone, click "Connect to Console" or "Connect to Hub," scan the QR code, and it will automatically add the phone to the account and start mining Acurast.

Acurast Rebellion Program to Increase Earnings

Connect your Acurast account to the Acurast Rebellion program to increase rewards. Use the code mg3gif and connect with the same Metamask wallet to enter. In the Rebellion program, you earn MIST points for every 30 minutes a phone mines Acurast. More phones mean more MIST points. There are also easy quests inside the program that give additional MIST points.

Which Phones Can Be Used for Acurast

Acurast works with most phones, even if slightly broken. Here’s a list of all eligible phones.

Acurast Token

Users mining Acurast currently collect cACU testnet tokens. These will convert to real ACU tokens, which have a dollar value, when Acurast launches its mainnet in April 2025. The more cACU tokens you collect, the more ACU tokens you’ll get. MIST points will also determine a token allocation.

How to Earn the Most ACU Tokens

To earn the most ACU tokens, mine Acurast with as many phones as possible, all connected to the same account on the Acurast Hub. Don’t miss connecting the account to the Acurast Rebellion program to collect as many MIST points as possible, which will influence your ACU token allocation.
