Who is Nordic Crypto?

Nordic Crypto is the brand behind this site. I'm Pontus Bergström, based in Sweden, and I've been testing and reviewing hardware wallets since 2022 under the name Nordic Crypto aka Pontus Bergström.

The site exists because most hardware wallet content online falls into one of two categories: a 15-minute unboxing with no real depth, or a review written by someone with a clear financial incentive to rank certain brands higher. I wanted a third option: long-term hands-on testing, honest trade-off analysis, and clear explanations of what security claims actually mean in practice.

Every wallet on this site has been tested personally. The scores are based on four categories: security, ease of use, compatibility, and value for money. The comparison table is designed to let you see all wallets side by side so you can make the call yourself.

What this site covers

The focus is cold storage. Specifically:

  • Hardware wallet reviews based on real use, not spec sheets
  • A comparison table with all major wallets scored and ranked
  • Honest coverage of each company's track record, including incidents and controversies
  • Guides on seed phrase backup, seedless wallets, and how to actually keep your crypto safe long-term
