About Wingbits Miner

The Wingbits miner provides real-time data to Wingbits’ decentralized network, enhancing air traffic safety and efficiency. Users supplying data earn WINGS tokens.

Wingbits Review & How to Reserve a Hex to Set Up a Miner

Two Different Wingbits Miners

Wingbits offers two stations: the WB200 and the MGW310. The WB200 is the cheaper option, earning WINGS tokens. The MGW310, more expensive, dual-mines WINGS and GEOD tokens through a partnership with GEODNET, making it a cost-effective choice over buying separate WB200 and GEODNET miners. Those with an existing GEODNET miner can’t use the MGW310 in the same spot but can set it up elsewhere.

Both miners are waterproof and can be installed indoors (e.g., attic or balcony), though outdoor setups with clear sky views—like on a roof—maximize coverage and earnings.

Wingbits Earnings

Users with a WB200, MGW310, or self-built device currently earn testnet WINGS tokens, as Wingbits is in its testnet phase with no token value yet. The token generation event in 2025 will assign value to WINGS, converting testnet tokens to mainnet based on accumulation—more testnet tokens mean more mainnet tokens.

Wingbits HEX and Coverage

Wingbits uses a hexagonal system dividing the world into two sizes: resolution 6 and resolution 3.

Wingbits Resolution 6 Hex
The smallest hexes, colored orange when occupied, show reserved (red) or available (green) locations on the Wingbits dashboard’s station section.

Wingbits Resolution 3 Hex
Larger than resolution 6, these hexes appear when clicking a resolution 6 hex, displaying signal coverage in shades from blue to green. They determine daily token earnings.

Wingbits Hexes and Token Rewards

Resolution 3 hexes dictate earnings: each has a daily WINGS token pool. A miner covering a hex and handling aircraft messages earns those tokens. If multiple miners overlap, the one processing the most data ranks highest and earns the most, though all contributing miners still receive rewards based on their data handling.

How Many Wingbits Miners We Can Have

You can have unlimited Wingbits miners as long as they’re in different resolution 6 hexagons.

How to Earn the Most with a Wingbits Miner

Maximize tokens by optimizing signal coverage—more coverage means more aircraft data messages and higher rewards. Set up the miner outdoors, high up (e.g., on a roof) with a clear sky, avoiding tall buildings, trees, or mountainous terrain. Early setup in unclaimed areas ensures full token rewards from covered hexes before competition increases.

How to Start with Wingbits

Reserve your resolution 6 hex on the Wingbits dashboard (watch the top video for a step-by-step guide), securing it for 6 hours. Purchase a miner, and use the coupon code from the reseller’s email to extend the reservation to 6 months for free. Once set up, link a Solana wallet (like the free Phantom browser wallet) in the dashboard to receive tokens.
