Wicrypt hotspot

About Wicrypt Hotspot

With the Wicrypt hotspot, anyone can share Wi-Fi connectivity and earn WNT tokens. Wicrypt provides a solution where people can connect to nearby hotspots for internet access. These hotspots support multiple users simultaneously—the Spider hotspot, for instance, handles 70 users, while others cover up to 500 meters and support 500 users. They can be set up with power and an ethernet cable or a SIM card in remote locations.

Wicrypt Hotspot Review

Earnings

Wicrypt rewards hotspots only when they provide coverage for actual users. Hotspots with low usage earn nothing, though deployers can charge for internet access. To earn WNT tokens, users must stake WNT tokens in the Wicrypt app. Rewards are given weekly in Business mode if criteria are met:

  1. Meet staking requirements—minimum WNT staking varies by hotspot count (see document).
  2. Register the hotspot and set it to Business mode.
  3. Maintain at least 10 hours of uptime per week.

Earnings depend on parameters, with staking score being the most influential, based on:

  • Total amount staked.
  • Type of staking (fixed preferred over flexible).
  • Staking period length (6-12 months advised).
  • How often rewards are claimed and re-staked.

Other factors include:

  • Economic priority/value of your area—remote areas with less internet earn more.
  • Population density—fewer nearby hotspots increase earnings.
  • Connectivity density—spreading hotspots boosts rewards.
  • Weekly unique connections and uptime—more unique devices connecting earns more.
  • Average weekly bandwidth—higher data usage is better.
  • Additional factors like consistency, number of devices owned, and time in the system.

These parameters ensure rewards align with the network’s purpose. In areas with abundant internet, earnings may not justify running a hotspot, but in regions with scarce access, it can be profitable.
